SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Submission of a manuscript to the editorial board implies the author’s consent to the editorial processing of the text and its potential publication in both print and electronic versions of the journal.

Types of Submissions

The editorial board of the scholarly periodical “Ukrainian Linguistic Medieval Studies” accepts original research articles, book reviews, and reports on scientific events that align with the journal’s scope.

Manuscript Submission

Materials must be submitted in electronic format to the editorial office’s email address, accompanied by the required author information (full name, academic degree, position, institutional affiliation, institutional mailing address, email, and ORCID).

Preliminary Preparation of the Manuscript

Manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with the journal’s technical requirements and formatted according to current Ukrainian orthography and established rules for citations and references.

Before submission, the text must be thoroughly proofread by the author; materials containing factual, linguistic, or technical errors will not be considered. The article’s length must not exceed the established limits, and the structure must include the following mandatory elements: author information, article title, abstract and keywords, main text, bibliography (Список літератури), and REFERENCES (and, if necessary, a list of primary sources). Materials that do not meet these requirements will not be accepted for consideration.

Initial Editorial Screening

All submitted materials undergo a preliminary editorial review to ensure alignment with the journal’s thematic profile and technical requirements. Upon successful screening, manuscripts are forwarded for scholarly peer review.

Peer Review

Articles are subject to a double-blind peer review process. Reviewers evaluate the scientific novelty, methodology, and reliability of the results.

Editorial Decision and Revision

The Editorial Board reserves the right to recommend that the author revise the text or make changes regarding the scientific content or formatting of the material. The Editorial Board issues one of the following decisions: Accept for publication, Accept subject to revision, or Reject. Authors must incorporate changes according to the reviewers’ comments.

Publication

Once the manuscript is approved, the article is published in both print and electronic versions of the journal, with a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) assigned.
