The article is dedicated to the life path and multifaceted scientific activities of the prominent Ukrainian linguist, Doctor of Philology, Professor Vasyl Vasylyovych Nimchuk. His decisive contribution to the development of the history of the Ukrainian language, dialectology, lexicology, and lexicography is highlighted. Particular attention is paid to the scholar’s role in the research and publication of monuments of Ukrainian writing, as well as his efforts in building a national linguistic school. The figure of V. V. Nimchuk is regarded as a symbol of devotion to science and an unquenchable source of knowledge for future generations of researchers.<\/p>\n
