The article analyzes the linguistic material of entries in the metrical books of the Ruthenian parishes of the city of Vinnytsia in the middle of the second half of the 18th<\/sup> century, in particular, the layers of the living language of the Bratslav region, signs of the linguistic business culture of that time and the socio-cultural, primarily linguistic, Ruthenian-Polish borderland.<\/p>\n
